Principal’s Message

The Holiday season is here and this is a wonderful time to reflect on the growth that your child has made in school. In order to continue their progress, it is important for your child to read daily. If you have internet access, please have your child login to iStation at home for extra practice. If you still need login information, please contact your child’s teacher. We are excited to start a new incentive program with our students this month. Each student will come home with a key ring to place on their backpack. The students will have the opportunity to earn “brag tags” to add to their key ring. The student will earn a “brag tag” for reaching their AR goal, honor roll, attendance, student of the month, receiving a positive referral, learning kindergarten sight words, increasing on our STAR assessments, and for 3rd-5th grade students who score a level 3, 4, or 5 on their FSA. It is an honor to serve as the Principal of Highland City Elementary. Please call, email, or come see me if you have any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful holiday season and thank you for sharing your child with us.

Ms. Weingarth
